13 people killed in car crash in Mozambique

Thirteen passengers died and six others were seriously injured when a collided with a minibus on Saturday morning in the Manhiça district of Maputo province, southern Mozambique.

According to the head of the Public Relations department of the Maputo Provincial Command, Juarce Martins, blamed the collision on overloading and speeding.

“The accident occurred around 11 o’clock in the zone of 3 de Fevereiro, along National Number One Road,” he said. “The bus was carrying believers from a church and was going to Gaza province.”

The injured were taken to Maputo Central Hospital, 84 km from the site of the crash.
