KARACHI: While remarking that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is not mature enough or willing to ‘accept that he is the prime minister [of this country],’ Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi Saturday lashed out by saying, “Abbasi himself says that Nawaz Sharif is the prime minister.”
Recently, the PTI and PML-N were fighting close in the NA-120 by-polls, after which the former first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz won the battle.
Criticizing Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the PTI leader said the time has come “to get rid of corrupt leaders in Sindh.”
He further remarked that “The people of Sindh are not happy with [the performance] of the PPP.”
Backing up his claims, he said that the PPP was only able to secure an “insignificant 1,414 votes” in the NA-120 by-polls.
The PML-N and PPP have lost their standing, Qureshi claimed, promising that he will present all the ‘facts’ in front of the parliamentary board.
“PTI is the product of PML-N and PPP’s failures,” he said. “The nation now looks to PTI [for a better future].”
