SIALKOT: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that India’s ceasefire violation along the Line of Control are aimed at distracting the world from the atrocities it is committing in Occupied Kashmir.
Six had died while 26 were injured in the Indian firing which Ahsan termed as an act of cowardice. The minister paid a visit to Sialkot’s CMH to sympathise with the people injured in cross-border Indian firing.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had strongly condemned the incident and expressed deep grief and condolences with the bereaved families, and the Indian ambassador was also summoned to register a strong protest.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had also condemned the killing of innocent civilians and ordered the Sialkot district commissioner to establish relief camps for the residents of border villages, migrating towards safer land owing to the Indian shelling.
