KARACHI: A drug peddler was killed in a police encounter in Skindarabad area of the metropolis in the wee hours of Friday.
On a tip-off, a police team conducted a targeted raid at a house in Keamari’s Skindarabad area where a notorious drug peddler, Kamal alias Kamala and his five accomplices had allegedly opened fire on the police team.
In the firing which ensued later, Kamal suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot, while his five accomplices managed to flee the scene. The police recovered weapons and drug from the house.
The body of the deceased was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
