Responding to the approval of Electoral Reforms Bill 2017 in Senate, Railways Minister Saad Rafique on Friday said Nawaz Sharif will be reinstated as the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) following the legislation, adding that “party heads cannot be forced out without the consent of political parties,” he said on Twitter.

The federal minister took to Twitter on Friday thanking Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Farooq Sattar, FATA senators, Akhtar Mengal, Zulfiqar Ali Khosa and others who sided with the PML-N in the electoral reforms bill.

Rafique said that Nawaz will come back as the party president as the conspiracy to oust Nawaz Sharif from politics had failed again after PML-N victory in the NA-120 by-election.

The attitude of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was unfriendly to democracy as it is for the benefit of all, he implied. He said the PTI will also need the same law in order to save their chief Imran Khan.
