KARACHI: The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCL) arrested two terrorists of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and recovered hand grenade and pistol from their possession here on Thursday.
According to details, the AVCL launched a crackdown against outlaws in Karachi’s Orangi Town, and during the operation, two terrorists hailing from the defunct LeJ, identified as Abdul Ghaffar alias Mulla Ustad and Qari Tayyeb alias Maulana were arrested besides recovery of a hand grenade and pistol from their possession. The detainees stated that they were trained from Afghanistan, and were involved in a hand-grenade attack on an Imambargah in Qasba Colony locality of the metropolis.
The nabbed terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
