RISS’ education system designed to increase capabilities of students, says director

MUZAFFARABAD: Eminent educationist Almaah Syed, who is Roots International School System’s (RISS) north region director, has said that the school had a modern educational system, of international standards, which was designed to meet the requirements of students to meet challenges by increasing their analytical and thinking capabilities.

Talking to journalists, she explained that since its establishment, the school had innovated modern educational standards, with universally-acclaimed academic excellence and all-round development of the students. She added that the philosophy of the RISS was to build standards and practices for the holistic development of a child, to be an effective human resource who are able to compete in the challenging environment of today’s world.

She also said that academic the aspect of this practice inspired intellectual growth, critical and analytical thinking skills, while the practical aspect equipped the students with problem-solving skills, social interaction expertise and cultural tolerance. It also emphasises on empowering the students to attain self-confidence and self-assurance so that they can learn how to develop intrapersonal skills and create interpersonal relationships, she added.

She also stated that the school’s students had managed to break world records when it came to distinctions and scholarships from international universities, bringing pride for the institution.

Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, ministers, educational elite and civil society also participated in the event.
