40 held with arms, grenades and looted valuables

KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) arrested 40 outlaws and recovered arms, hand grenades, stolen valuables and snatched bikes from their possession.

The police during crackdowns in Ittehad Town, Muhammad Khan Colony and surrounding localities held 26 with arms, looted valuables and stolen bikes.

Citizens also caught a robber red-handed during a robbery attempt in Liaquatabad area. He was handed over to police after a sound thrashing.

SSP (Central) Irfan Baloch said that the police and Rangers during a joint operation in Nazimabad and Rizvia colony areas detained eight suspects. Four pistols and four hand grenades were recovered from the possession of the detainees.

Six criminals were apprehended with weapons during a crackdown in Garden area.

The recovered weapons and valuables were confiscated by the LEAs and the detainees were being interrogated after registering cases against them at concerned police stations.
