PML-N workers ‘picked up’ from their homes during NA-120 by-polls: Talal

LAHOREAfter the successful recovery of missing worker of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Amjad Nazir Butt, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry conducted a press conference alongside Provincial Minister Imran Nazir, during which he lashed out at the role of unidentified forces in sabotaging election campaigns of democratic parties. He said that no stone would be left unturned to rescue party workers abducted ahead of NA-120 by-election.

He claimed that the night before the election was conducted, PML-N workers went missing. “They were picked from their homes and offices, which is quite condemnable,” he asserted.

A visibly irked Talal further remarked that the policies of vindication were held against PML-N only, where the wings of party workers were clipped, but their morale remained sky high.

He also said that Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif is investigating these abductions. “We won’t put a finger on any institution until these investigations are done,” he said. He said that PML-N saved institutions on the behest of its own damage.

He later went to see the recovered PML-N worker Amjad Nazir Butt and assured him of his full support.

He also told that no police report was filed yet; the formal proceedings against the illegal kidnappings of PML-N workers will kick-off after the reports are filed, he said.
