Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member National Assembly (MNA) Tahira Auranzeb has said that the rumours of nominating Kulsoom Nawaz as the new Prime Minister (PM) of the country are baseless and out of context.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House on Tuesday, she said that there was not reality in nominating ailing Kulsoom Nawaz as the new premier and she, after going through another surgery, would return home and take oath as MNA.
She said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was nominated as PM for the remaining period in consensus of the party leadership and former premier Nawaz Sharif. Tahira Aurangzeb said that the decrease in votes of the PML-N candidate was not due to decline in popularity of the ruling party but voters’ turnout mostly remains low in the by-elections.
She lauded the committed efforts of party leader Maryam Nawaz for successfully conducting the election campaign in NA-120.
