“London?”
“Yes, London. You know- Fish, Chips, Cup o’ tea, bad food, worse weather, Mary ****ing Poppins”
- Snatch (2000)
London is the haunt of choice for popular politicians these days. The Sharifs certainly seem to prefer the Capital of the World to the capitals of Pakistan and Punjab. Nawaz Sharif’s predilection for the place is understandable, what with an ailing wife in the city. But Shehbaz Sharif also seems to have a liking for the place. As do his kids.
On the other hand, Imran Khan was also in town to attend the extremely high profile wedding of the child of a friend of his.

The Independence Cup may or may not have revived international cricket in Pakistan, but another revival is currently underway, albeit with fewer people noticing it.
Our film industry finally seems to be getting out of its post ’65 rut -and post ’80s nightmare – and actually making money. The return of Indian movies to the local circuits, as promised, have brought about a return, of sorts, of high budget movies (that more than make their money back.)
There is something to be said for that.
….The return of Indian movies to the local circuits, as promised, have brought about a return, of sorts, of high budget movies….
Can’t pakistan survive on its own? even in entertainment industry without India or indians? even in west, pakistanis can’t help themselves pass off as claiming to be indians.
