Maryam says people rejected SC’s verdict, conspiracies against Nawaz

LAHORE: Commenting about NA-120 victory for her party, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sunday said people dismissed conspiracies against her father, as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz took a significant lead in the by-election in Lahore-III.

Congratulating workers and supporters for voting in favour of her party in the by-polls, she said, “I congratulate you, PML-N tigers.”

“Nawaz Sharif called me before arriving here and asked me to thank people of the constituency,” she added.

Maryam further added that the people in the constituency have proven that they love Nawaz Sharif, adding, “Now, it’s the time for Imran Khan to cry.”

“Your 60,000 votes equal six million votes. I know what’s happening to PML-N people for the last two days. Our supporters with their faces covered with black clothes were picked up,” Maryam told the crowd.

She said the PML-N was all alone in this fight, but defeated all conspirators.

“You took the brunt of the attack against Nawaz Sharif,” she said, while hailing people of the constituency. “The people have rejected the verdict of the Supreme Court.”

She said the people have proven that Nawaz Sharif is still their prime minister, regardless of the SC verdict.
