Regarding the by-election in NA-120 constituency of Lahore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan uploaded a video message and asked the citizens not to waste their right to vote and come out of their homes.

“Votes can change the fate of Pakistan. It can defeat the leeches, who have been sucking the country dry,” he said. Talking to reporters, PTI candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid vowed that she would be approaching the courts against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding alleged registration of 29,000 bogus votes in NA-120.

She said that they have reservations against ECP and will approach the court against them. “I had said whether I win or lose, I will go against the ECP.” PTI claims 29,000 votes registered in NA-120 were bogus and belong to areas outside of the constituency. Moreover, the party has filed a petition in the ECP pertaining to it.

“Our fight has not ended. It will continue as long as the ECP does not become an independent institution,” Dr Yasmin said, adding that the PTI would announce its next course of action during a news conference on Monday. “You showed us that middle-class people like us can also contest election,” she said thanking her supporters.
