SHC orders IO to submit report on teenager’s murder

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) chief justice (CJ) took notice of the murder of 19-year-old student Tania Khaskheli on Saturday and ordered the investigating officer (IO) of the case to submit a report on the matter.

According to details, DIG Hyderabad and SSP Jamshoro were summoned by the high court, while the IO was also summoned and ordered to submit a report on the murder.

Tania, a 19-year-old student was murdered by a feudal lord when she rejected his marriage proposal. According to the victim’s sister, Tania was shot to death in her house by the murderer, who is reportedly influential.

The deceased’s father claimed that he was being threatened with dire consequences after he raised voice against the unjust murder of his daughter, while Tania’s sisters have stopped going to school, fearing for their lives.

It has been nine days since the girl was murdered, yet no arrests have been made by the police in this regard. The victim’s sister had appealed to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and authorities to take notice of the crime.
