PESHAWAR: It was reported that a youth, who threw acid on the face of his neighbour, still remains unpunished in the provincial capital remains.
The unfortunate survivor still suffers from burn wounds, when retribution seems impossible.
The survivor’s father is learned to have stated that Shafeeq (the attacker) had asked them for Rs 0.6 million, threatening them with wild punishment.
However since they could not pay such a hefty sum, Shafeeq came to their house in Mankarao area of Peshawar and attacked his son Ammar with acid.
In other news, sources in the police department said the investigation has revealed extortion money was not the only reason behind the attack.
Police said the issue was being investigated, promising the accused would be arrested soon.
