PESHAWAR: At least six security personnel were injured in two consecutive blasts at the Torkham border checkpost between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Friday.
According to details, six personnel of the Frontier Constabulary, who were deployed at the gate, and a passerby child were injured in the blasts. Following the blasts, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the adjoining areas, whereas, the border crossing was also closed for all types of traffic.
The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained.
