CHAKWAL: Four people lost their lives as a trailer overturned on the motorway in Kallar Kahar during the early hours of Thursday, according to media reports.
According to officials of the National Highways and Motorway Police, the vehicle’s brakes failed due to which it got out of control and overturned.
The unfortunate accident took place in the Salt Range area, notorious for road accidents due to the sharp turns and slopes.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, fourteen people lost their lives in a collision between a van and a trailer on the motorway near Chakri. According to rescue officials, the accident took place mainly because the driver of the van fell asleep at the wheel.
The van caught fire after the accident, which resulted in further casualties.
