In a positive development, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi announced that the West Indies team will visit Pakistan for a three-match T20 series towards the end of November.

The PCB chairman on Thursday also thanked West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) President Dave Cameron for visiting Pakistan amidst the ongoing Independence Cup.

Sources within the PCB have revealed that the WICB president had been invited to witness security arrangements made for the World XI series, further adding that Cameron’s tour would pave the way for a West Indies tour to Pakistan.

It is crucial to note that the World XI tour, also known as the Independence Day Cup, is a significant development for the country. Before this tour, only Zimbabwe toured Pakistan in 2015.

Moreover, the Sri Lankan cricket board has also agreed to send its players to Pakistan for a single T20 match off the back of this tournament—if it is satisfied with the security arrangements made for the World XI.
