ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday strongly condemned the unprovoked Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC).

In a tweet message, Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria regretted that India is deliberately targeting civilian population along the working boundary. He said that Indian actions are detrimental to bringing peace in the region.

His statement came as Indian troops again resorted to unprovoked firing in Phuklian Sector, Chirikot and Kailer sectors along the Working Boundary on Wednesday night.

According to ISPR, Pakistan Rangers effectively responded and targeted Indian posts.

Muhammad Zahoor, a resident of Dewra village, was martyred due to the firing, while a woman who sustained injuries also expired later.
