Arrested suspects in the Mashal Khan—who was a student of journalism at Abdul Wali Khan University—case will be indicted on September 19.

A private news channel reported on Thursday that, according to investigation authorities, the 57 suspects—of whom four are absconding—will be indicted, and daily hearings of the case will start from September 20.

Abbottabad’s anti-terrorism court will hear the bail application filed by one of the suspects and pass a verdict on September 18.

The daily hearings will be held at Haripur prison.

It is vital to mention here that Mashal Khan was lynched by an enraged mob on the university premises on April 13, killing him over allegations of blasphemy.

Moreover, the university personnel and students were also arrested for their involvement in Mashal’s murder.

The prime suspect of Mashal Khan murder case Imran confessed to his crime before a city magistrate on April 29.
