PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Court (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday rejected an application seeking action against Member National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai for engaging in alleged corruption due to “lack of evidence”.
The complaints were filed by Gulalai’s ex-secretary Noor Zaman Khan, Arif Marwat and Saleem Nawaz.
They alleged that Gulalai and her father were involved in corrupt practices and called for an investigation by the accountability watchdog.
The three PTI leaders had accused Gulalai of being involved in corruption after she leveled allegations of female harassment against party chairman Imran Khan.
Gulalai’s former assistant Noor Zaman claimed that he was also involved in corruption with Ayesha Gulalai.
Zaman claimed that he had remained silent about Ayesha Gulalai’s financial corruption since she had promised his son a government job.
