ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Barrister Zafarullah has said that they have presented the stance before the Supreme Court that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification was not justified under any law.
Zafarullah, along with other PML-N leaders, addressed the media outside the apex court where the review petitions of the Sharif family and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the Panama Papers case were being heard on Thursday.
“In the history of Pakistan, judges giving a verdict are not made guardians of the proceedings,” said Zafarullah.
While responding to a question, the barrister said that the Supreme Court’s decision in the Maulvi Tameezuddin case was not accepted as well.
PML-N leader and IT minister Anusha Rahman, while addressing the media, said that the report of the Joint Investigation Team was incomplete.
The court ordered the filing of references on the basis of an incomplete report, she said.
