JACOBABAD: Two people, a youngster and a child, died in separate incidents in different localities of Jacobabad on Wednesday.
Police said that a youngster named Feroze Ahmad, who is the son of Bhoral and a Jatoi by caste, was crushed to death by Bolan Express while crossing the track near Abad Town of Jacobabad. The deceased hailed from district Dera Murad Jamali of Balochistan.
Separately, a child identified as Wahid Bux, who is the son of Qadir Bux Brohi, drowned in a fish pond after he slipped and fell into it in village Muhammad Khan Brohi. The local people, on a self-help basis, pulled the body out from the pond and handed it over to the bereaved family.
