TEHRAN: Pakistan and Iran have agreed to enhance cooperation in establishing peace and security in Afghanistan through regional and multilateral political talks.
It was agreed during a meeting of Pakistani foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif with his Iranian counterpart Jawad Zarif in Tehran.
In the meeting, they also reviewed fighting against terrorism in the region and both countries.
Khawaja Asif underscored the need to adopt a specific policy in the region.
During the meeting, various regional issues, including bilateral ties in banking, transportation, drug trafficking and condition of Muslims in Myanmar, came under discussion.
