ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will be disqualified by Supreme Court (SC) because of his contradictory statements regarding the money trail of his house in Bani Gala. These views were expressed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi on Tuesday.
Abbasi alleged that Imran sometimes says that the house was gifted to him by his former wife Jemima Khan, but soon after, he retracts from his own statement.
While talking to the media, the PML-N leader said that the SC had asked the PTI chairman about Rashid Khan which he doesn’t reply. “Court is asking Imran about banking transactions, but he doesn’t have them,” he claimed and asserted that this case will end up disqualifying Imran.
Earlier on Tuesday, during a hearing, SC Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar observed that there were loopholes in the money trail provided by the PTI leader.
According to details, Abbasi is a petitioner in the PTI chairman’s disqualification case, which is being heard by the SC in which, like Nawaz Sharif and his family, Imran is supposed to present the money trail of his house in Bani Gala.
