The first T-20 of three-match Independence Cup series between Pakistan and World-XI will be held in Lahore on Tuesday.
A 13-member ICC World XI squad led by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis, arrived in Lahore early Monday morning.
Earlier, talking to newsmen in Lahore on Monday, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi has thanked International Cricket Council and international cricket players for their cooperation in holding Independence Cup 2017 in Lahore.
Najam Sethi hoped that successful holding of Independence Cup will open the doors for the tour of Sri Lankan and West Indies teams to Pakistan.
Speaking on this occasion, Director ICC Giles Clarke said that Pakistani government and people have played an important role in bringing back international cricket to the country.
He said that efforts of security agencies of Pakistan for improving law and order situation in the country is laudable.
