The City School holds early years academic moot

The City School’s annual moot successfully concluded the other day, which was held at their campus in Defence.

Over two hundred teachers, school heads and management, participated in the event which was aimed at re-engineering the learning and development process of playgroup to class 2. The academic moot focused on new methods and techniques inculcating confidence and a desire to explore knowledge in children.

According to many psychologists and child experts, over 70 per cent of a human’s personality is developed during their early years of life. This is the reason The City School takes particular interest in constantly upgrading its teaching methods so that the children of today can be happy and healthy individuals who will contribute effectively towards making the world a better place.

The key focus of this years’ moot was the integration of technology in the classrooms, technological skills and preparing children for use of gadgets for learning and problem-solving. Many important tasks of the future will be dependent on their ability to use software and hardware that are still under development.

Also under focus was the integration of technology in teaching to learn languages, communicate more openly and freely, solving mathematical problems and making the learning process more fun and effective at the same time.
