KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday denied that there was any rift between the provincial government and Sindh Inspector General of Police AD Khowaja.
Addressing reporters after visiting Mazar-e-Quaid on the occasion of the Pakistan founder’s death anniversary, Shah said that the issue of the Sindh IG was in court and only it had the authority to pass a verdict.
Shah said that administrative issues exist everywhere and it is not a new thing.
The Sindh High Court on Thursday ordered the IG to continue on his post after he was removed by the provincial government in a controversial manner last year.
Sindh Governor Mohammed Zubair also spoke to media during a visit to the Quaid’s Mausoleum and said that today is an important historical day and wished that Pakistan fulfills Jinnah’s vision.
Moreover, Sindh Rangers DG Maj Gen Mohammad Saeed also visited the mausoleum. He laid a floral wreath and offered a prayer as well.
