KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Vice President Nusrat Wahid on Sunday strongly condemned the genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
“The international community must take immediate notice of these brutal, mass killings of innocent Muslims and we will not leave our Muslim brothers of Myanmar alone in this hour of crisis,” she said while addressing a gathering. She urged the Human Rights Commission and United Nations to play their due role in this matter immediately to protect the lives and properties of the innocent Muslims.
The PTI leader said that the Muslims living in Rohingya should have all the basic rights of a legitimate citizen and they should be given a proper nationality. She added that the government of Myanmar must stop the state sponsored terrorism, and the government of Pakistan must help and provide full support in terms of food, medicine and other basic necessities to the refugees fleeing Myanmar towards Bangladesh and other countries.
