PTI seeks support of PML-Q in NA-120 by-election


LAHORE: Pakisan Muslism League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) on Sunday has assured Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to participate and run the election campai of its candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid for the by-poll of NA-120.

PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi assured the PTI delegation during the meeting at his residence in Lahore.

Chaudhary Sarwar, Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Hamid Meraj and Mian Majid were among the PTI delegation, whereas PMLQ leaders Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Moonis Elahi, Tariq Bashir Cheema and Mian Munir were also present at moment.

Talking to a joint press conference after the meeting, Elahi said that PMLQ will fully run the election campaign of Dr Yasmin Rashid under the leadership of Senator Kamil Ali Agha. He said that besides taking part in the campaign, PMLQ women will also be deployed as polling agents for PTI candidate. He said that we are supporting PTI in the by-election and urge the entire opposition to support it as well.

Elahi said that Shehbaz Sharif was involved in the murder of 14 innocents in the Model Town tragedy and will not escape punishment. He demanded that the Justice Baqar Najafi report be published.

Expressing his gratitude to PMLQ leadership, Chaudhary Sarwar said that Kamil Ali Agha had a great influence in NA-120 and they were thankful to Parvez Elahi for supporting PTI. He further said that PML-N was setting new records of pre-poll rigging while the Election Commission was not paying attention to their complaints.
