Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his children, in a request to the Supreme Court, have asked the court to hear their petition against the five-member Panamagate bench before it moves on to the hearing of their petition against the three-member bench in the same case.

Earlier, The SC had decided to hear the Sharifs’ petition on September 12. The relevant bench is headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and Justice Ijazul Ahsan.

However, a petition was filed in the SC which raised the objection and asked the court to let the larger bench (five-member bench) hear the petition first.

Under Pakistan’s law, the review petition in the Supreme Court is usually adjudicated by the panel of judges which deliver the initial verdict.

  1. This is the character of a punished person who calls himself a leader but lacks all leadership traits. He wants more and SC must provide.
