Over Rs670m being spent to strengthen Home Department, civil LEAs in GB

The Gilgit Baltistan (GB) government is spending over Rs 670 million on strengthening of Home Department and civil law enforcing agencies.

According to a report, under current annual development program twelve projects are being implemented in this connection which will be completed by end of this financial year.

The projects include establishment of twenty-eight seasonal police check posts, setting up of Special Branch sub-offices in all districts and extension of rescue 1122 service to Ghizer and Astore. Establishment of District complex in Hunza, computerization of revenue record, special protection unit and CTD police will also be set up in the area.
