Pashtunkhwa Awami Milli Party chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai was on Sunday fined by the motorway police for speeding.
Motorway Police issued a ticket of Rs750 to Achakzai for violation of traffic rules.
The PkMAP chief’s land cruiser was being driven at 132 km/hr in violation of the allowed speed limit of 120km/h near Charsadda, according to the police.
This is not the first time a political figure was fined as earlier on August 2, traffic officials fined Member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Zareen Gul for violating traffic rules.
In the fine, traffic officials mentioned ‘unsafe driving’ as the cause. The fine, worth Rs200, was accepted by the MPA.
