LAHORE: Milli Muslim League’s supported candidate Muhammad Yaqoob Shiekh, who has been carrying out campaign for the by-election of NA-120, is not being allowed to put up banners and flags in the constituency.

Meanwhile, violations of Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) code of conduct continue to take place in NA-120. State machinery is being employed to carry out the election campaign.

Yaqoob Shiekh has never called himself a candidate of the party and always referred to himself as being an independent candidate. It is pertinent to mention here that under the Constitution of Pakistan, Milli Muslim League cannot be forbidden from offering support to a political candidate.
