Allama Iqbal Open University will hold a week-long workshop of postgraduate and M.Sc Gender and Women Studies Programme from September 18 here at its main campus.
It will be an academic pursuit that is part of the University’s regular activities to promote research culture in the country. The courses to be covered during the academia-students interaction includes research methods in gender studies, applied statistics in gender, feminist debates on gender inequalities, femisism and islam, sociological theory-i and sociology of gender issues.
According to event’s coordinator, Aqleem Fatimah, Students from Peshawar, Karachi, Lahore, DG Khan, Gujranwala, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad and Multan regions will participate in the workshop at their regions through Video-Conferencing system. Information letters for attending the workshop have been sent to all the enrolled students at their given addresses.
