To express solidarity with the Rohingyas Muslims, Mardan’s District Government on Saturday announced to stage a protest against the brutalities of Myanmar military and extremists on 12 September and called a meeting of local bodies members, along with other stake holders, to participate in that protest.

A meeting of all parliamentary parties was held on Saturday, under the chairmanship of District Nazim Himayatullah mayar and Naib Nazim Asad Ali, in which the members of all parliamentary parties were present. District Naib Nazim Asad Ali condemned the silence of United Nations (UN), world community and especially the Muslim countries. He said that the violence against Muslims was nothing short of a disaster.

He added that the Muslim world was like one body, if one part of it gets wounded, the whole body feels the pain. He stressed the Muslim countries to make the OIC functional in order to counter the threats and conspiracies against Muslims around the world.

The parliamentary leaders also demanded that the government must play its role in highlighting the issues of Muslims. They stated that the rulers of Myanmar were actively cleansing Muslims per a plot. They decided to call a meeting of all local body members and pressurise the government to stop the killing of innocent Muslims in Maynamar.

Stressing for the unity of the Muslim world, he said that the non-Muslim powers were bent upon eliminating Muslims and to fight back; Muslims have to stand together united. They announced a meeting on Tuesday, 12 September 2017, at 9 AM to make a joint plan.
