PESHAWAR: Iftikhar Qaisar, renowned television actor, has been admitted to Lady Reading Hospital due to deteriorating health.
Iftikhar’s son, Hasnain said that instead of admitting into the hospital, the administration kept him outside for at least nine hours.
The hospital administration, however, said the delay was only due to the fact that they were waiting to get a hold of Iftikhar’s test results. They further added that the actor was now under special treatment at the hospital.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb has said the government will take all possible steps to support the actor in his treatment and instructed her ministry’s officials to look after the actor.
Iftikhar Qaisar has received President’s Pride of Performance Award and has acted in Urdu, Hindko and Pashto plays on television.
