The United States has expressed deep concern about the crisis in Myanmar and urged authorities to allow humanitarian access to Rakhine state.
According to the UN, more than 250,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled Myanmar into Bangladesh since violence erupted last October.
Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has also urged the global community to intervene to protect Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims.
In an interview to BBC, she said we cannot be silent over the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.
Meanwhile, World Parliamentary Forum has expressed deep concern about the ongoing violence in the Rakhine State of Myanmar.
The concern was shown at a joint declaration issued at the conclusion of the World Parliamentary Forum on Sustainable Development attended by Parliamentarians from 49 countries in Bali, Indonesia.
India refused to be part of the declaration.
