KANDHKOT: A breach in a canal inundated several acres of agricultural land and damaged the crops here on Friday.
Irrigation department sources said that a 20 feet breach emerged in Tangwani Canal in Achar Dahani village of Kandhkot. Resultantly, the outflow of water from the breach inundated crops on several acres of agricultural land, rendering huge losses to the cultivators.
The local people on a self-help basis started efforts to fill the breach and they were later joined by the irrigation department.
