MIRPUR: At least two people died and 11 others were injured when a passenger van fell into gorge here on Thursday.
Police said that due to the failure of brakes, a passenger van skidded off road and it plunged into a deep ravine by the roadside near Dadyal Phaglian check post in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Two passengers died on the spot in the accident while 11 others were seriously injured.
The police and local people through joint efforts pulled out the bodies and injured from the ravine and shifted them to the hospital where the condition of some injured passengers was stated to be critical.
