LAHORE: Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif has said that the recent statement of Chinese government which said that the CM was not involved in any corruption, verifies his principled stance and is a victory for the 21 crore people of Pakistan.
In a statement, Shehbaz Sharif said that it is unbecoming to level baseless allegation on the elected Khadim-e-Aala of the people. After statements of Chinese Embassy and that of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the baseless and concocted propaganda with regard to Multan Metro Bus Project has died down. The accusers could not bring out any proof; however, with the grace of Almighty Allah, the proofs of our innocence have come forth, he added.
He said that after the clarification of China, the honour and prestige of the incumbent government of Pakistan and the people has been enhanced and the baseless allegations of the opponents have proved to be a collection of lies. He said that he is a servant of the people and shall continue to serve them as a servant.
