Pakistani envoys moot: Asif seeks suggestions on how to deal with US

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday sought recommendations from Pakistani diplomats regarding the prevailing geopolitical situation, particularly on the new US Afghan policy and Trump’s allegations that Pakistan is harbouring terrorists.

While addressing the opening session of the Pakistani envoys conference in Islamabad, Asif emphasised Pakistan’s stance that there is no military solution to the Afghan war. He also insisted on the need to highlight continuing human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir on all available international platforms.

Among those attending the conference are Pakistan’s envoys from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Belgium.

The concluding session of the conference will be chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Pakistan may reject accusations of exporting terror as in the past but the present BRICS statement which has named the terror organisations based in the country makes it accountable to dismantle them. US along with Pakistan’s neighbours including China now have categorically charged it of exporting terror which cannot be dismissed by Pakistan with impunity. Pakistan along with North Korea are heading for serious trouble for openly defying the international community. China shifting its stand on Pak terrorism will make situation more difficult for Pakistan who should shun terrorism as its state policy and focus on its weak economy which would benefit its own people than pursuing the self-destructive policy of exporting terror.

You should stop terrorizing kashmiris, let them decide if they want to be part of India. The Indian state sponsored terrorism in Kashmir must be stopped.
