Hundreds reach hospitals after overeating meat on Eid

LAHORE: Major hospitals received hundreds of patients with different complaints in the three days of Eidul Azha with most of them suffering from stomach ache.
A number of people arrived at the hospitals with some complaining about stomach ache, some with bones stuck in their teeth and some with high blood cholesterol.
Every year, doctors warn of overeating meat on the occasion of Eidul Azha when affluent Muslims sacrifice goats and cows.
According to hospital sources, Mayo Hospital received at least 170 patients while Services Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Ganga Ram and General Hospital received 135, 78, 65 and 120 such patients, respectively.
Nawaz Sharif Hospital received 35 patients, Government Mozang Hospital had 13 while Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital received 42 patients.
