Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Ch Abdul Ghafoor said on Wednesday that pre-fabricated structure rooms and modern facilities will be introduced in PTDC motels, located in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) very soon.
A ski resort will be set up at Naltar, for which the GB government has already allotted space of 30 kanal to PTDC. “In the past, GB was ignored, but the present government remains committed to develop GB into an international hub for business and tourism, setting an example for rest of the world,” he said.
An agreement on tourism cooperation has already been signed between PTDC and NATCO. Keeping in view the tourist flow this year, it is not difficult to predict that GB will soon be a hub for domestic and international tourists.
