4 including father, 2 sons drown in Jhelum

JHANG: Four including three family members drowned in River Jhelum on Tuesday. The body of one was fished out while the search for the bodies of the remaining three is in progress.

According to details, eight people hailing from Toba Tek Singh had come to Ghaziabad locality of Jhang for hunting at the bank of River Jhelum.

While pulling out their hunt from the river, five people including Babar Parvez 52, his two sons Adeel 25, Kamran 12, two teenagers Shoaib and Jehanzeb drowned in the deep water.

Local people on self-help basis managed to rescue Shoaib alive and also fished out the body of Parvez, shifting them to THQ Hospital Athara Hazari.

Search operation by rescue divers and heirs of the drowned is underway.
