Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman held meeting with US Republican Party leader Dr Gholam Mujtaba.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday, both dignitaries discussed matters related to terrorism, particularly in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and areas bordering Afghanistan, and the situation in Kashmir as well.

During the meeting, Dr Mujtaba said that there was a need to address US concerns in all seriousness above political rhetoric by Pakistani politicians.

He hoped that Maulana Fazl was in a position to help bring peace in the region and the meeting would result in positive outcome by engaging all the stakeholders and crushing terrorist networks.

“There is a communication gap between leadership like Maulana and the international stakeholders, and the same has been maintained purposely by forces inimical to Pakistan which has resulted in policy shift by the Pakistani oligarchy”, US leader mentioned.
