FC, Rangers surge actions in Balochistan, Punjab

Frontier Corps (FC) has surged the intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in different parts of Balochistan on confirm reports, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR).

The statement issued on Saturday stated that the Frontier Corps conducted intensive operations during the last four days in Summany, Kleri Dhal, Dera Bugti and Dashat areas and foiled a major terrorist activity, and saved precious lives.

The Frontier Corps also carried out search operations in different parts of Quetta. In these operations, several suspects were also apprehended. Arms and ammunition including explosives, improvised explosive devises, grenades, rockets, detonators and communication equipment were recovered from the terrorist hideouts.

The ISPR statement also said that the Pakistan Rangers of Punjab along with the Punjab Police, intelligence agencies and the Counter-Terrorism Department carried out the intelligence-based operations in Lahore, Faisalabad and Dera Ghazi Khan.

During the last 72 hours, 43 suspects were apprehended during these operations, while cache of illegal weapons and ammunition were also recovered, according to the statement.
