‘Tactical training plays an effective role in war against terrorism’

Sindh Police Special Security Unit Commandant Maqsood Ahmed said that the tactical training provided by Navy Seals to Sindh Police SSU commandos will be an asset to foil the nefarious designs of terrorists.

This he said while speaking as the chief guest at the passing out ceremony of 2nd batch of 28 jawans of SSU, who completed 8-week counter terrorism course at Naval Special Operations Training Centre (NSOTC), Nathiagali.

The modules of training provided by navy seals included air assault, bus assault, sniper firing, room combat, close quarter battle repelling, basic swimming skills, weapons handling and physical fitness.

Maqsood Ahmed further said that the Pakistan was facing multi-dimensional challenges of law and order and security. The tactical training will play an effective role for war against terrorism, he added.

The commandant also appreciated the contribution and support by Navy SEAL Commanding Officer Captain Imran Khalid and other training officers for providing this modern tactical training to SSU commandos.

Maqsood Ahmed hoped that such training by Pakistan Navy will continue. He added that Special Security Unit was giving maximum attention to provide all possible professional training to commandos aimed at to effectively crackdown the activities of terrorists and hardened criminals. Later, Maqsood Ahmed gave away shield to Commando Shoaib as best trainee of the course.
