Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that the country has suffered a loss of $14 billion in the aftermath of the Panama papers verdict.
Talking to reporters after visiting a ‘Sasta Bazaar’ that was destroyed by a fire on Aug 23, the minister said that even though his party had reservations over the apex court’s decision yet they would respect the order.
Criticising political opponents, he said that fanning political instability and doing politics for the sake of it will inevitably result in hindering economic development in the country.
He emphasised that the country needs to unite and move forward beyond “dead issues” like DawnLeaks, enquiry of which has been completed with the consensus of civil and military leadership.
