The Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) has increased intelligence-based operations (IBO) throughout the province in the past four days, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
“Over the past week, IBOs were carried out under Operation Raddul Fasaad in different areas of Quetta, Kleri Dhal, Dera Bugti, Dashat areas of Balochistan,” the ISPR said in a statement.
The security forces through these operations foiled at least one major act of terrorism in Balochistan, according to the ISPR.
“Various suspects were apprehended during these operations … [while] a large cache of arms and ammunition — including explosives, IEDs, grenades, rockets, detonators and communication equipment — were also recovered from the terrorists’ hideouts.”
On June 4, 12 “hardcore terrorists” were killed in a gun battle during an IBO carried out by security forces, including the Balochistan FC, in the Splinji area of Mastung district.
